There and back again

We spent a couple of days in Phuket town, which is much nicer then much of the rest of the Island and actually has an old area unlike many towns in Southern Thailand. Of course we popped to Patong for old times sake ! Patong Beach, Nice !

We spent three nights in Kho Yao Noi not doing very much that didn’t involve hammocks and paperbacks. Largely unaffected by the tourism boom on the neighboring islands like Phuket, Koh Yao is pretty natural and still retains its traditional Muslim culture.

So back in the megapolis of Bangkok . Arrived at Hualampong Station form Phisanulok (7 Hours !!) in the evening and took a taxi to the hotel we had booked, the driver going on continuously about how he new a much better cheaper hotel, and that christians get murdered regularly around our street.

Thank you all for your get well messages. You will be pleased to here that we have donned our packs and have hit the road again. We left Chiang Mai on Monday and travelled down to a place called Phitsanulok where we are spending a couple of nights.

So our last day in Pai, heading down to Chiang Mai, Anne is still not too well, so will probably not do. too much. Cant remember the last time I went to the hairdressers. Bathroom visitor.
