It’s funny what you say about the two barrels with water and the cup floating on them. I ended up in a guesthouse with ensuite shower but no hot water but after reading this, I think I should consider myself lucky…

Hey Anne and Vijie.Happy New Year from the two of Us in Dundalk, Co.Louth, Eire!
Ye missed an eventful night of the two families meeting for the first time, after seven years of us going out on the 1st Jan.in the Coach lane in Sligo,however when ye return we can do it all over again for mine & Timmys bithdays, since we’ve got the ball rolling.
We were chatting last night and were wondering, Anne if would would be my bridesmaid to Our Wedding on the 14th March 2008?It would be with my sister Vanessa and my friend Aoife.We’re just starting to plan things,as I hope to leave them till June when my finals are over, but need to book the venue and afew other bits as its St.Patricks long weekend in 2008 and we don’t want to leave things too late.

Merry Christmas to you too… this is one of the weirdest ones we’ve had.
Enjoy the beach, we are up in the misty hills (not far from Pai) and Christmas isn’t a priority here among the tribes.

For Xmas gift Alex bought me something in the local market… a 100 baht imitation of the Italy jersey (the old version, the one with ‘only’ three stars…).
The position of the three star is perfect though, right on the chest, that must have been what Zidane aimed at… envious maybe?

Hi Both,

We’re now in Khao Lak, southern Thailand…
We are waiting for a car which we have hired till the end of the holiday. It was supposed to turn up 20 minutes ago, but we have a Plan B in case it doesn’t.
Plan B involves a flight from Pucket or BKK to Cambodia, in which case we may catch up with you if you like.
I still think the car will eventually show up, but in any case, have a nice one.

Hello ! Glad to hear that you are both enjoying the trip. Looking at that those shots of Angkor brought back a flood of memories. Very envious!

Cairo is plummets to 5 degrees in the evening and the novelty of staying in the hotel is wearing off… only another 5 more weeks to go. No doubt by then I would have heard the band downstairs play “eye of the tiger” a few hundred times …

I know, it’s all going so quickly! Not sure what ingredients to avoid just think we had a bit of dodgy shellfish. But still feel a bit queasy at anything too hot and sour like tom yam or thai salad at the moment but all other foods are back on the menu with a vengence!
